First Grade Fun

I thought it would be fun to blog about First Grade.  As a former First Grade teacher, I find it very interesting and challenging to be on the other side of the coin as a First Grade parent.  I am not currently in the classroom, but still have many ideas and opinions on how engaging, fun, and special a First Grade classroom can be.  I will use this space to document happenings in my son's classroom, but also post links and ideas for First Grade classrooms.  As challenging and draining as I thought it was to teach First Graders, I now know what the parents were going through at home.  I think if I ever do go back to the classroom, I will be a better, more efficient teacher (and maybe not assign so much homework).
